Introducing AquaGlide™ shower door glass protection. You want cleaning your shower door glass to be simple? Make it easy. AquaGlide™ is a protective coating that keeps glass looking new longer. We’ll apply it at the factory. For customers who already have a Basco Shower Enclosure, AquaGlide™ can be applied at home to revitalize and protect your door glass. An AquaGlide™ kit can be purchased online.
The AquaGlide™ at-home kit includes the tools to best care for your protected
shower enclosure. It includes:
AquaGlide™ Stain Remover
AquaGlide™
Revitalizer
A microfiber towel
A nylon sponge
A white abrasive pad
For glass treated with AquaGlide™, follow these instructions:
After each
use of your shower, use a small plastic bowl or pitcher filled with water or a
hand held shower head to spray the shower doors with clean water. Pour the water
along the top edge of the glass. The majority of the shower’s soapy residual
water will drain off. Use a small hand towel to pat dry the remaining droplets.
You may use a squeegee, however, that can alter the longevity of the protective
coating.
Once a month, use a nylon sponge to go over the wet glass, rubbing in a
circular motion. You should feel “sticky” places going back to slick again. Then
pour water along the top edge of the glass, as you do after each shower use.
Every three to six months, use the AquaGlide™ Stain Remover on any sticky
or visibly stained spots that are not coming off with the nylon sponge. After
removing the stains, spray on the AquaGlide™ Revitalizer, rubbing it on and
polish it off with the included microfiber cloth.
Whenever the water is no longer beading, apply the AquaGlide™ Revitalizer
and polish it off with the included microfiber cloth.
Even if you haven’t strictly followed the maintenance guidelines for your
AquaGlide™-treated shower glass, the AquaGlide™ system can be used to bring
your shower doors back to life. Start by using the sponge and the AquaGlide™
Stain Remover to remove hard water and soap scum stains. But for difficult to
clean stains, use the abrasive pad. Once the doors are clean, apply the
AquaGlide™ Revitalizer and polish it off with the microfiber cloth.
